While Thoreau put up plenty of points on Friday, the same can't be said for Tohatchi. The Hawks blew past the Cougars, posting a 51-0 win. The victory continues a trend for the Hawks in their matchups with the Cougars: they've now won five in a row.

Thoreau found their leader in sophomore Aiden Woody, who threw for 144 yards and three TDs while completing 81.8% of his passes, and also rushed for 33 yards and one score. Another player making a difference was Elyjah Becenti, who rushed for 62 yards and one touchdown.

Thoreau's record now sits at 5-1. As for Tohatchi, their loss dropped their record down to 2-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Thoreau will take on Santa Fe Indian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Hawks will be up against the Braves' rather soft defense (which has allowed 32.29 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Tohatchi, they will face off against Shiprock at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
