Soccer Recap: Wood Takes a Loss

Wood was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Pioneer Patriots. The Wildcats were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Patriots earlier this season, when they won 1-0.

Wood's goal came courtesy of Aliana Reyes, who's now up to 14 this season.

Wood's defeat dropped their record down to 8-5-1. As for Pioneer, they now have a winning record of 6-5.

Wood has already played their next game, a 1-0 victory against Vanden on the 30th. As for Pioneer, they also wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next contest, a 3-1 loss against Vacaville on the 30th.
