Softball Recap: Commerce Snags Third Win in Last Four Games

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Oglethorpe County, Commerce was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They never let the Towns County Indians get on the board and left with a 9-0 win. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 15-3 back in September.

The team relied heavily on Brooklyn Harbin, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. Another player making a difference was Brooklyn Nunley, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Commerce has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-14 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.8 runs over those games. As for Towns County, their loss dropped their record down to 4-11.

Looking ahead, Commerce will venture away from home to challenge Habersham Central at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Towns County, they will host Lincoln County at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Indians' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Red Devils have averaged an impressive 6.8 runs per game this season.
