Basketball Game Preview: Shipley vs. Germantown Friends

Shipley will square off against Germantown Friends at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

On Saturday, everything came up roses for Shipley against Perkiomen School as the team secured a 56-24 victory. Given Shipley's advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 65th, while Perkiomen School is ranked 240th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Germantown Friends entered their tilt with Frankford on Saturday with 14 consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with 15. They took their contest with ease, bagging a 50-17 win over the Pioneers.

Shipley's victory bumped their record up to 11-6. As for Germantown Friends, their win bumped their record up to 16-1.

Shipley was able to grind out a solid victory over Germantown Friends when the teams last played back in January of 2024, winning 40-29. Does Shipley have another victory up their sleeve, or will Germantown Friends turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
