Frederick hasn't had much luck against Erie recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Golden Eagles will head out on the road to take on the Tigers at 4:00 p.m. Frederick is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.9 runs per game this season.

Frederick is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Colorado's top teams: Erie, who was ranked 13th at the time (Frederick was ranked 21st). The Golden Eagles lost 14-1 to the Tigers on Tuesday. Having soared to a lofty 12 runs in the game before, the Golden Eagles couldn't push the score so high this time.

For Erie's part, they got a great performance from Sophee Horovitz as she pitched five innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits.

On the hitting side, Keyanna Reeves was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and one double. Another player making a difference was Braelen Heer, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with four runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

Erie kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 17 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since back in October of 2024.

Erie has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-5 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.6 runs over those games. As for Frederick, their defeat dropped their record down to 16-6.

Both Frederick and Erie just can't seem to miss. The Golden Eagles have been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 9.9 hits per game. However, it's not like Erie struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 5.5 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
