Basketball Game Preview: Point Arena Pirates vs. Round Valley Mustangs

The Point Arena Pirates will challenge the Round Valley Mustangs at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Point Arena will be looking to extend their current ten-game winning streak.

Last Friday, Point Arena was fully in charge, breezing past Tomales 65-34. The Pirates have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten matches by 22 points or more this season.

Point Arena relied on the efforts of Jayde Swan, who posted 22 points, and Hattie Piper, who put up 21 points. Addy Clark was another key player, putting up 11 points.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Round Valley, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They walked away with a 38-31 win over Anderson Valley on Friday.

Round Valley pushed their record up to 12-4 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 18.3 points per game. As for Point Arena, their win bumped their record up to 14-7.

Point Arena didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Round Valley in their previous meeting back in January, but they still walked away with a 47-42 victory.
