Softball Recap: Merritt Wins Going Away Against Mangum

Merritt barely beat Mangum the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Oilers blew past the Tigers 10-4 on Monday. Surprisingly, this marked the Oilers' fourth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

Merritt's victory bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Mangum, their loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 11-4.

Looking ahead, Mangum will be playing at home against Snyder at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Merritt will be paying especially close attention to the Tigers' contest: after the Tigers face off against Burns Flat-Dill City, they'll take on Merritt again at 5:30 p.m. on September 8.
