Football Recap: Windsor Piles Up the Points Against Conard

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Windsor). They really took it to the Conard Red Wolves for the full four quarters, racking up a 61-0 victory. The win was just business as usual for the Warriors, who after six games remain undefeated this season.

Windsor's win on Thursday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Anthony Robinson, who threw for 200 yards and three touchdowns while completing 81.2% of his passes, and also punched in one rushing score. Robinson is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as he's now passed for three or more in each of the last five games he's played. Robert McKinney was another key rusher, rushing for 54 yards and one score on only five carries.

Windsor didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Missoni Brown. Windsor received some extra help from Jayden Compton, whose fumble return for a touchdown made for one of the most unforgettable moments.

Windsor's victory bumped their record up to 6-0. As for Conard, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-4.

Coming up, Windsor will welcome Simsbury at 6:30 p.m. on the 31st. The Warriors will be up against the Trojans' rather soft defense (which has allowed 38 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. Conard has already played their next contest (against Manchester), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
