Softball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Northridge

Northridge had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They were the clear victors by a 12-0 margin over the Thompson Valley Eagles. Considering the Grizzlies have won ten matchups by more than five runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Bo Tellez was a standout: she went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double. Another player making a difference was Noelle Rodriguez, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three doubles and one run.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Northridge kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least ten hits in five consecutive games.

Northridge's win bumped their record up to 12-8. As for Thompson Valley, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-12 record this season.

Northridge will have a chance to go back-to-back against Thompson Valley: the pair will be back at it again later today.
