Soccer Recap: Woodward Academy Takes a Loss

Woodward Academy entered their matchup against Whitewater on Thursday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Woodward Academy War Eagles fell just short of the Whitewater Wildcats by a score of 2-1. The War Eagles were not able to make up for their defeat to the Wildcats from their previous meeting back in February of 2022.

Having lost for the first time this season, Woodward Academy fell to 5-1. As for Whitewater, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.

Woodward Academy will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Shiloh at 8:00 p.m. on March 13th. Woodward Academy's last three games have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Whitewater, they wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next contest, a 1-0 win against Drew on the 28th.
