Basketball Recap: Tomales Comes Up Short

Tomales was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 40-32 to the Grace Christian Academy Lions. That's two games in a row now that the Braves have lost by exactly eight points.

Despite the loss, Tomales still got an impressive performance from Avrie Wilson, who posted 15 points. Gillian Alves was another key player, putting up seven points.

Tomales' defeat dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Grace Christian Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-3 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Tomales will venture away from home to face off against Round Valley at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. Round Valley will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Tomales surely won't give up without a fight. As for Grace Christian Academy, a feisty cat fight is on tap when the Grace Christian Academy Lions challenge the Potter Valley Bearcats at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
