Softball Recap: University Has No Trouble Against Limon

University got themselves on the board against Limon on Friday, but Limon never followed suit. They put the hurt on the Badgers with a sharp 24-0 win. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Bulldogs also won the last time the pair played back in August of 2024.

Jasi Cole was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching one inning while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Cole was also big at the plate, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

In other batting news, University got a massive performance out of Natalie Galindo, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs, four RBI, and two doubles. That's the most runs Galindo has posted since back in September of 2024. Jocelyn Chacon was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, five RBI, and one double.

University was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .500. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .333 or higher in 17 consecutive contests dating back to last season.

University's record now sits at 2-0. As for Limon, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

University has already played their next match, a 17-1 victory against Delta on the 22nd. As for Limon, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 14-2 loss against La Junta on the 22nd.
