Nationally-ranked battle between Chaminade-Madonna and American Heritage headlines weekend slate.

A nationally-ranked showdown between No. 6 Chaminade-Madonna (Hollywood) and No. 15 American Heritage (Plantation) headlines this weekend's Florida high school football schedule.

Chaminade-Madonna has posted three lopsided victories to open the season, including a 61-21 victory against Bergen Catholic of New Jersey last week. In that contest, Ohio State commit Jeremiah Smith hauled in 17 receptions for 321 yards and three scores while North Carolina State commit Cedrick Bailey connected on 26 of 35 pass attempts for 402 yards and five touchdowns.

American Heritage won its first two games comfortably with a 45-20 victory over St. John's (Washington, D.C.) and a 27-14 win against Trinity Christian Academy (Jacksonville). The Patriots look to avenge their only regular season defeat from last season as they fell to Chaminade-Madonna in a 42-34 shootout in 2022.

No. 11 Edgewater (Orlando) vs. No. 20 Jones (Orlando) is one of seven games involving state-ranked teams Thursday night.

The only other matchup between state-ranked teams this weekend is a Saturday tilt between No. 6 Columbus (Miami) and No. 25 Palmetto (Miami).
