Basketball Recap: North Star Comes Up Short

North Star lost against Windber back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The North Star Cougars were dealt a 56-10 loss at the hands of the Windber Ramblers. The game marked the Cougars' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Windber's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Maggie Manippo, who posted 12 points. Angel James was another key player, putting up eight points and six rebounds.

North Star is on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-12. As for Windber, the win got them back to even at 7-7.

North Star has already played their next contest (against Glendale), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Windber didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 59-50 defeat against Southern Huntingdon County on the 25th.
