Soccer Game Preview: Dunwoody vs. Lakeside

The Dunwoody Wildcats will head out on the road to face off against the Lakeside Vikings at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

Things were looking good for Dunwoody after they put the first goals on the board on Tuesday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. While the 2-2 score might suggest a draw, it was Roswell who was credited with the win. The Hornets got it done in the shootout by posting three goals to Dunwoody's one. The result was nothing new for Dunwoody as the team haven't won a game since March 28th.

Lakeside is likely headed into the contest with a focus on the second half, which is when things went downhill against Tucker on Tuesday. The Vikings fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 1-0. Lakeside have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Lakeside's loss dropped their record down to 7-9. As for Dunwoody, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-13-2.

Dunwoody beat Lakeside by a goal in their previous matchup back in March of 2024, winning 1-0. Will the Wildcats repeat their success, or do the Vikings have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
