Football Recap: Lake Station Edison Has No Trouble Against Boone Grove

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against East Chicago Central, Lake Station Edison was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They put the hurt on the Boone Grove Wolves with a sharp 29-8 win. The result was nothing new for the Fighting Eagles, who have now won four games by 21 points or more so far this season.

Lake Station Edison had a senior duo take command as David Parker rushed for 152 yards and two touchdowns and Oscar Alderson gained 165 total yards and two touchdowns. Parker showed off some serious burst, turning on the afterburners on one carry for 65 yards.

Lake Station Edison was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 341 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 215 rushing yards in four consecutive matchups.

On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Lake Station Edison's defense and their three sacks. Leading the way was Kaden McNeil with two.

Lake Station Edison pushed their record up to 6-2 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 14.0 points on average over those games. As for Boone Grove, they now have a losing record of 3-4.
