Soccer Game Preview: Ravenswood vs. Ripley

The Ravenswood Red Devils will head out on the road to square off against the Ripley Vikings at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Ravenswood is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 2.5 goals per game this season.

Ravenswood is likely headed into the match with a focus on the second half, which is when things went downhill against Williamstown on Tuesday. The Red Devils took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Yellowjackets. Ravenswood have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Their goal came courtesy of Emily Andrade, which was the first she's scored this season.

Meanwhile, Ripley fell victim to Winfield and their airtight defense on Tuesday. They came up short against the Generals, falling 3-0. Ripley haven't had much luck with Winfield recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Ripley's defeat dropped their record down to 5-8-2. As for Ravenswood, their loss dropped their record down to 8-5.

Ravenswood beat Ripley 2-0 in their previous matchup two weeks ago. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Red Devils since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
