Soccer Game Preview: Pepperell vs. Rome

Pepperell hasn't had much luck against Rome recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Dragons will challenge Wolves at 6:00 p.m. Pepperell has given up an average of 3.4 goals per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Pepperell is headed into Tuesday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their eighth straight game last Friday. They lost 6-0 to Murray County.

Meanwhile, after a string of nine wins, Rome's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. While the 2-2 score might suggest a draw, it was Cedartown who was credited with the win. The Bulldogs got it done in the shootout by posting seven goals to Rome's six.

Pepperell's loss dropped their record down to 2-12. As for Rome, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-3.

Pepperell suffered a grim 9-0 defeat to Rome in their previous meeting back in February of 2018. Can the Dragons avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
