Baseball Recap: Gordon Central Takes a Loss

Gordon Central was the 11-9 winner over Coosa when they last played one another last Tuesday, but their luck changed this time around. The Gordon Central Warriors took a 9-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Coosa Eagles on Friday.

Bentley Talley made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole Five bases. while going 1-for-2. Those five stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jordan Young, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-4.

Gordon Central's loss was their 17th straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Coosa, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-10.

Coming up, Gordon Central will face off against Christian Heritage at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Gordon Central is facing Christian Heritage at the right time seeing as Christian Heritage is stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Coosa, they will challenge Fannin County at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
