Basketball Recap: Burrell Snaps Three-Game Streak of Losses at Home

Burrell won the last time they faced Valley and things went their way on Thursday too. The Burrell Bucs enjoyed a cozy 54-36 victory over the Valley Vikings. The Bucs pushed the score to 50-16 by the end of the third, a deficit the Vikings cut but never quite recovered from.

Burrell's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 9-4. As for Valley, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8.

Burrell is taking a road trip to face off against Oakland Catholic at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (Oakland Catholic has won three straight at home, while Burrell won seven straight on the road), something that'll have to change. As for Valley, they will host Highlands at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
