Willmar proved they can win big on Tuesday (they won by three) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Alexandria 3-2. Winning may never get old, but Willmar sure is getting used to it with their fifth in a row.

Willmar took Alexandria into a fifth set where they got it done with a four-point win. The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-18, 21-25, 24-26, 15-11.

Willmar was led to victory by Jordan Blahosky and Isley Ripperger. Blahosky had 13 digs and four aces, while Ripperger had 17 digs and two aces. That's the most digs Ripperger has posted since back in August.

Willmar's victory bumped their record up to 11-5. As for Alexandria, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-13.

Looking ahead, Willmar will venture away from home to square off against Fergus Falls at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Alexandria has already played their next match (against Minnewaska Area), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
