Baseball Recap: Toll Gate Comes Up Short

Monday just wasn't the day for Toll Gate's offense. They lost 10-0 to the Narragansett Mariners on Monday. Having soared to a lofty 13 runs in the game before, the Titans' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Toll Gate saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Braeden Geer, who went 1-for-2 with one double.

Toll Gate has also been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-13-1 record this season. As for Narragansett, they pushed their record up to 12-5 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

Looking ahead, Toll Gate will host Central at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The Knights have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.18 runs per game on average), something the Titans will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Narragansett, they will square off against St. Raphael Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
