Soccer Recap: Mountain View Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Mountain View, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Lanier Longhorns 3-2. The score was all tied up 1-1 at the break, but Mountain View were the better team in the second half.

Mountain View has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 8-8 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 21 goals over those six games. As for Lanier, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost nine of their last 12 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-9-1 record this season.

Mountain View and Lanier will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next matchups. The next time the Bears see the pitch they'll take on Chattahoochee at 8:00 p.m. on the 15th. As for Lanier, their break will end when they face Berkmar at 7:30 p.m. on the 15th.
