Football Game Preview: Pipestone vs. St. James

Pipestone have had a week off and are no doubt ready to get back on the field. On Friday they take on St. James at 7:00 PM. After both teams made easy work of their previous opponents, one of them is set up to suffer a discouraging change of fortune.

Pipestone were the big favorite in their most recent match, and for good reason. Everything went their way against New Richland-Hartland-Ellendale-Geneva two weeks ago as they made off with a 35-7 victory.

Meanwhile, St. James made easy work of Martin County West last Friday and carried off a 42-8 win. The match was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point St. James had established a 35-8 advantage.

Their wins lifted both teams to an identical 2-0. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, Pipestone and St. James will really light up the scoreboard.
