Soccer Recap: El Monte Takes a Loss

El Monte lost against Gabrielino back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The El Monte Lions lost 4-0 to the Gabrielino Eagles. While losing is never fun, the Lions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 1115th, while the Eagles are ranked 468th).

El Monte dropped their record down to 1-9 with the loss, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Gabrielino, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 8-2-2.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Mountain View the next time they take the pitch. El Monte will host Mountain View at 3:30 p.m. on Monday, while Gabrielino will host them at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
