Softball Recap: Alameda Wins Going Away Against Middle Park

Alameda had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 13-run drubbing they dealt Middle Park on Thursday. The Pirates blew past the Panthers 16-3. The victory continues a trend for the Pirates in their matchups with the Panthers: they've now won four in a row.

Alameda got a massive performance out of Peyton Trujillo, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with four stolen bases, three runs, and four RBI. Those RBI marked the first that Trujillo has brought in this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Zila Bobian, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with five stolen bases and four runs.

The win got Alameda back to even at 2-2. As for Middle Park, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Alameda will venture away from home to take on Wheat Ridge at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Middle Park, they will head out to face off against Eagle Valley at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
