Baseball Game Preview: Forsyth Central Bulldogs vs. Denmark

The Forsyth Central Bulldogs will venture away from home to face off against Denmark at 6:15 p.m. on Monday. Forsyth Central has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the matchup with four straight losses, while Denmark will come in with five straight victories.

Friday just wasn't the day for Forsyth Central's offense. They took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of North Atlanta on Friday. The game marked the first time this year in which the Bulldogs were not able to get on the board.

Meanwhile, after only two runs in their last contest, Denmark made sure to put some runs up on the board against Lambert on Friday. Everything went Denmark's way against Lambert as Denmark made off with a 10-0 win. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for Denmark's hitters, who had struggled in the games prior.

Geno Goralski was incredible, going 3-for-5 with five RBI, one triple, and one stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of Jason Williams, who scored two runs while going 3-for-4.

Denmark pushed their record up to 8-3 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Forsyth Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-7.

Everything went Forsyth Central's way against Denmark when the teams last played back in April of 2024, as Forsyth Central made off with a 7-1 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Forsyth Central since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
