Soccer Game Preview: Grace Davis vs. Central Valley

The Grace Davis Spartans will square off against the Central Valley Hawks at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Grace Davis' defense heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Pacheco with a sharp 4-0 win. Considering the Spartans have won six contests by more than two goals this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, Central Valley waltzed into their match on Thursday with 11 straight wins... but they left with 12. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Bulldogs. Give the Hawks' defense some credit: that's the team's seventh straight shutout.

Aaralyn Jauregui and Amirrah Cornielle scored both of Central Valley's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 26 goals.

Central Valley pushed their record up to 14-1-1 with the win, which was their eighth straight on the road. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only given up three goals over those eight games. As for Grace Davis, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-6.
