Mt. Zion extended their home winning streak to four games thanks to a huge performance from Rashad Montgomery. The Eagles blew past the Baconton Charter Blazers 47-0 on Friday for which the team can thank Montgomery, who rushed for 163 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only six carries. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 102.2 rushing yards per game.

Mt. Zion didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Jordan Smith, Knox Israel, and Khazyia Ackey picked up one apiece. Israel got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Mt. Zion's win bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Baconton Charter, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mt. Zion will challenge Pike County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Baconton Charter, they will take on Aucilla Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
