After a string of seven wins, West Philadelphia's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They took a 43-31 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cristo Rey Philadelphia Blue Pride . The Speedboys were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Blue Pride earlier this season, when they won 34-30.

Donajah Tindle was West Philadelphia's leading scorer, having posted nine points.

Laila Alexander was her usual excellent self, going 6 for 11 on her way to 15 points along with eight boards and six steals for Cristo Rey Philadelphia. Alexander's evening made it four games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Gabby Delbridge, who posted nine points in addition to eight rebounds and four steals.

West Philadelphia's defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 14-5. As for Cristo Rey Philadelphia, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 9-6 record this season.

West Philadelphia wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 63-19 victory against Parkway West on the 22nd. Cristo Rey Philadelphia has also already played their next game, a 45-10 win against Pine Forge Academy on the 22nd.
