Football Game Preview: Fremont Pathfinders vs. Maywood CES Wolfpack

The Fremont Pathfinders will head out on the road to take on the Maywood CES Wolfpack at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

On Thursday, Fremont took a blow against Dorsey, falling 40-6. The Pathfinders haven't had much luck with the Dons recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.

Special teams was responsible for all of the team's points. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Daniel Battle, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown.

Even if they lost, Fremont's defensive line still kept up the pressure with three sacks. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Darion Morrow, Andrew Williams, and Rondale Adams, who each picked up one sack apiece.

Meanwhile, Maywood CES beat Los Angeles 30-22 on Thursday.

Fremont's loss dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Maywood CES, their record is now 6-4.

Friday's matchup might be decided on the ground. Fremont has been excellent on the ground this season, having averaged 189.2 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Maywood CES struggles in that department as they've been averaging 202.6 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's game turns into a tough fight on the ground.

Fremont strolled past Maywood CES in their previous matchup last Friday by a score of 30-15. Will the Pathfinders repeat their success, or do the Wolfpack have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
