Football Game Preview: Hand Tigers vs. West Haven Blue Devils + How To Watch

Two dominant backs in Lucca Boyce and Amir Daniley are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Hand Tigers will be playing at home against the West Haven Blue Devils at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hand will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.

Hand is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Connecticut's top teams: Fairfield Prep, who was ranked seventh at the time (Hand was ranked ninth). The Tigers had just enough and edged out the Jesuits 20-17. The 20-point effort marked the Tigers' lowest-scoring game of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Hand's defense and their five sacks. The heavy lifting was done by Brayden Dempsey and Paul Fumex, who racked up 4.5 sacks between them. Thanks to that big game, Dempsey is now up to 7.5 sacks on the season.

West Haven never got on the board in their matchup last Friday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Fitch on Friday. They put the hurt on the Falcons with a sharp 39-18 victory. Considering the Blue Devils have won three matchups by more than 20 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

West Haven found their leader in sophomore Mason Wright, who rushed for 45 yards and two TDs, and also threw for 177 yards and one touchdown.

Hand's win bumped their record up to 7-1. As for West Haven, the victory got them back to even at 4-4.
