Football Game Preview: Conway Springs Cardinals vs. Trinity Celtics

Conway Springs is a perfect 5-0 against Trinity since September of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Cardinals will head out on the road to take on the Celtics at 7:00 p.m. Conway Springs is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.

On Friday, Conway Springs lost to Medicine Lodge at home by a 28-13 margin.

The losing side was boosted by Logan Osner, who rushed for 121 yards and one touchdown. Osner is crushing it when it comes to rushing yards: he's rushed for at least 100 every time he's taken the field this season. Joseph Howard also deserves some recognition as he punched in his first rushing touchdown of the season.

Meanwhile, Trinity made easy work of Remington last Friday and carried off a 46-20 win. The victory continues a trend for the Celtics in their matchups with the Broncos: they've now won eight in a row.

Conway Springs' defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Trinity, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Everything came up roses for Conway Springs against Trinity in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as the squad secured a 35-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cardinals since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
