Baseball Game Preview: Knoxville Central Bobcats vs. Buchholz Bobcats

We've got a battle between Bobcats coming up. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Monday, Knoxville Central got the win against Fleming Island by a conclusive 11-4. Considering the Bobcats have won three matchups by more than six runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, Buchholz put another one in the bag on Monday to keep their perfect season alive. They had just enough and edged out Farragut 3-1. The three-run effort marked the Bobcats' lowest-scoring game of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Wyatt Clarke looked comfortable as he pitched 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been consistent for a while: he hasn't given up more than two hits in ten consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Buchholz let Cedaris Smith and Blake Brewer run wild. Smith went 1-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and one RBI, while Brewer scored a run and stole Two bases. while going 2-for-4. That's the most stolen bases Brewer has posted since back in May of 2024.
