Baseball Recap: Lenape Find Success

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Seneca, Lenape was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They skirted past the Hunterdon Central Red Devils 5-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Indians have posted since April 29th.

Lenape is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 13-11 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.8 runs on average over those games. As for Hunterdon Central, their loss dropped their record down to 15-12.

Looking ahead, Lenape will challenge Cherry Hill East at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. As for Hunterdon Central, they will take on Hopewell Valley Central at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Red Devils' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bulldogs have averaged an impressive 6.7 runs per game this season.
