Softball Recap: Duluth Takes a Loss

Duluth came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 12-2 to the South Forsyth War Eagles. The defeat continues a trend for the Wildcats in their meetings with the War Eagles: they've now lost three in a row.

Chayanne Mitchell made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Duluth's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for South Forsyth, the victory also got them back to even at 1-1.

Coming up, Duluth will head out on the road to take on Decatur at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for South Forsyth, they will challenge Coahulla Creek at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday.
