Soccer Recap: Granada Takes a Loss

Granada pushed their score to zero the last time they played Carondelet, but on Tuesday they couldn't quite do it again. The Granada Matadors took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Carondelet Cougars. The defeat continues a trend for the Matadors in their matchups with the Cougars: they've now lost five in a row.

Granada's loss dropped their record down to 7-3-7. As for Carondelet, their win was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 15-2.

Granada and Carondelet should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps California Rankings. Granada will square off against Livermore at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday up 328 places (277 vs. 605). Meanwhile, Carondelet (ranked 22nd) will meet California (ranked 260th) at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
