Soccer Game Preview: Shikellamy vs. Milton

The Shikellamy Braves will face off against the Milton Black Panthers at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.

Shikellamy came into their game on Wednesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against Central Mountain, falling 4-0. The matchup was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but Shikellamy couldn't quite close it out.

Meanwhile, Milton came into Saturday's match having lost three straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They and Hughesville finished up on equal footing with a 2-2 draw on Saturday. The result (or lack thereof) marked Milton's first draw of the season.

Tobin Strous was the only thing that stood between Milton and a shutout considering he scored both of Milton's goals, bringing his season total up to four goals.

Shikellamy dropped their record down to 6-7-1 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road. Milton's draw gives them a new season record of 4-8-1.

Shikellamy came out on top in a nail-biter against Milton in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, sneaking past 2-1. Do the Braves have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Black Panthers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
