Basketball Recap: Carlsbad Takes a Loss

Carlsbad was the 62-35 winner over Pacific Ridge when they last played one another back in February of 2018, but their luck changed this time around. The Lancers fell 54-48 to the Firebirds on Friday.

Carlsbad's defeat dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Pacific Ridge, their win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Carlsbad won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Corona del Mar at 8:30 p.m. on Saturday. Pacific Ridge and El Capitan will compete for holiday cheer at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
