Football Recap: Blue Valley West Starts Season with Loss at Home + How To Watch

Blue Valley West unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They came up short against the Saint Thomas Aquinas Saints on Friday, falling 21-0. The Jaguars haven't had much luck with the Saints recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Brett LaDuke threw for 148 yards on 16 of 23 attempts. Jett Nagy was his top target, picking up 83 receiving yards.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Blue Valley West will take on Olathe West at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Saint Thomas Aquinas, they will square off against St. James Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. This will be the Saints' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
