Recap: Ursuline Fighting Irish vs. Washington Tigers
After a string of five wins, the Ursuline Fighting Irish's's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They took a 75-71 hit to the loss column at the hands of Washington. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
When it comes to explaining why Ursuline lost, one person who can't be blamed is Jayden Payne. Despite the final result, he scored 22 points along with eight rebounds. Payne is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was DaShaun Will, who scored nine points along with ten assists and three steals.
Even though they lost, Ursuline were working as a unit and finished the game with 15 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Washington only racked up 23 assists.
It was another big night for Chris Knight, who scored 22 points for Washington. That makes it four consecutive games in which Knight has scored at least 25% of Washington's points. Terrelle Keyes was another key contributor, scoring 14 points.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ursuline will be home for the holidays to greet Chaney at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Chaney will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings (they are ranked 471st, while Ursuline is ranked 14th). As for Washington, they will stay at home for another game and welcome Harding at 7:00 p.m. on December 22nd.
