Softball Recap: Centennial Knights vs. Lovett Lions

Centennial won the last time they faced Lovett and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Knights put the hurt on the Lions with a sharp 14-2 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Knights.

Megan Bailey made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing four innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off five hits. Bailey was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in August.

In other batting news, Jaida Jsames was incredible, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with three RBI and one run. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Avery Taylor, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with two runs.

Centennial always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .688. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Lovett only posted an OBP of .389.

Centennial's record is now 8-18. As for Lovett, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-10.

Looking ahead, Centennial is taking a road trip to take on Blessed Trinity at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Lovett, they will host North Springs at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
