Baseball Recap: Southwest Takes a Loss

Southwest was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss. They took a 5-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Rutland Hurricanes. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Patriots of the 5-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2024.

Southwest's record is now 3-16. As for Rutland, their win ended a six-game drought at home and bumped them up to 8-13-1.

Coming up, Southwest will square off against Jefferson County at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Rutland does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
