Basketball Recap: Vaux Big Picture Picks Up Fourth Straight Win on the Road

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Martin Luther King, Vaux Big Picture was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. Everything went their way against the Girard Academic Music Program Pioneers as Vaux Big Picture made off with a 37-15 victory.

Despite the defeat, Girard Academic Music Program saw an underclassman step up: freshman Zoreah Devose posted nine points.

Vaux Big Picture's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-6. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 9.3 points per game. As for Girard Academic Music Program, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 3-5.

Vaux Big Picture will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Olney at 5:00 p.m. on February 1st. Girard Academic Music Program has already played their next match, a 46-16 win against Sayre on the 24th.
