Football Recap: Woodlawn Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Woodlawn played a tough match on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They had to suffer through a 41-14 loss at the hands of the Bessemer City Tigers. The Colonels were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 28-0.

Kharon Lewis threw for 88 yards and a pair of touchdowns while completing 80% of his passes. On the ground, Keymon Thomas rushed for 35 yards.

This is the second loss in a row for Woodlawn and nudges their season record down to 0-2. As for Bessemer City, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Woodlawn and Bessemer City will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Colonels are set to square off against their familiar foe Minor at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Bessemer City will take on rival Brookwood at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
