Softball Recap: Arapahoe Comes Up Short

Arapahoe lost against Pine Creek last Saturday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Warriors took an 8-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Eagles. The Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Delaney Cooper made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI. Mackenzie Clinton was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one run and one RBI.

Arapahoe's loss dropped their record down to 12-12. As for Pine Creek, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 14 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-3 record this season.

Arapahoe will face off against Fruita Monument at 12:15 p.m. on Saturday. The Wildcats' pitching crew has only allowed 2.7 runs per game this season, so the Warriors' hitters will have their work cut out for them. Pine Creek does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
