Football Recap: Cunningham's Undefeated Season over After Four Games

Cunningham fought the good fight in their overtime contest against Minneola on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of Minneola by a score of 42-40. Cunningham was up 34-20 in the third quarter but couldn't hold on to the lead.

Despite the loss, Cunningham still got an impressive performance from Stephen Kerschen, who rushed for 127 yards and four touchdowns on only 14 carries. Thanks to that big game, Kerschen is now up to 9 rushing touchdowns on the season.

Cunningham didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Logan Kinsler and John Paul Kerschen.

Having lost for the first time this season, Cunningham fell to 3-1. As for Minneola, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cunningham will welcome Otis-Bison at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Minneola, they will host Satanta at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Wildcats will be up against the Indians' rather soft defense (which has allowed 54.5 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
