Fayette County took a 12-run loss the last time they faced off against LaGrange, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Tigers narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Grangers 8-7. For the Tigers, this counts as revenge for the 16-4 victory the Grangers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in September of 2024.

The team relied heavily on S Carter, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI, one triple, and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of A Brewster, who went 2-for-3 with three runs and one stolen base.

The win got Fayette County back to even at 1-1. As for LaGrange, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Coming up, Fayette County will look to defend their home field on Saturday against Haralson County at 12:00 p.m. As for LaGrange, they are taking a road trip to take on Spalding at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
