Baseball Recap: Sequoyah Takes a Loss

Friday just wasn't the day for Sequoyah's offense. They came up short against the Pope Greyhounds on Friday, falling 8-0. The Chiefs have struggled against the Greyhounds recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meetings.

Sequoyah's defeat dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Pope, they pushed their record up to 9-3 with the win, which was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Sequoyah will welcome Lassiter at 5:55 p.m. on Tuesday. The last three games Lassiter has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Pope, they are taking a road trip to square off against Creekview at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Pope is facing Creekview at the right time seeing as Creekview is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
