Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Southwest SD). They blew past the Clairemont Chieftains 58-19 on Tuesday. The victory was some much needed relief for the Raiders as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

Southwest SD's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jazlyn Martinez, who posted 20 points along with eight steals and five boards. Martinez is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed three or more in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Sammie Iribe, who put up 14 points and seven steals.

Southwest SD was working as a unit and finished the game with 13 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Southwest SD's win bumped their record up to 2-4. As for Clairemont, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Looking ahead, Southwest SD will challenge Monte Vista at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Clairemont, they will welcome San Ysidro at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
